Nothing could be easier to make or more delicious than a homemade holiday gift of Dark Chocolate Almond Bark. And when you give a generous portion wrapped up on a lovely temp-tations® platter, you’ll really make someone’s holiday super special.
What I love about this recipe is that it’s so simple, yet it looks SO gorgeous – making you look like a master candy maker 😉 Yet it only has 3 ingredients – dark chocolate chips, sliced almonds and coarse sea salt! On top of that, altering the flavors is a cinch. Try adding dried fruit or different nuts, or use white chocolate, or a mixture of both white and dark. It’s easy to make and will be much appreciated by the lucky recipient.
Simply melt the chocolate in the microwave, pour out onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet or Lid-It® until it’s about 11×7 in size and about 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with almonds and salt, and refrigerate till firm. The only trick is to make sure you don’t spread it too thick or too thin – keep in mind that at 1/4-inch thick, it’ll stay nice and firm when you break it into pieces.
Fill a temp-tations® platter with the Dark Chocolate Almond Bark, wrap up in pretty tissue and ribbon, and you’ve got a fabulous gift that won’t soon be forgotten!
