This delicious Green Olive and Artichoke Spread is a lot like a French tapenade, usually made with olives and other yummy ingredients, like artichokes. I make my version with cream cheese to give it a soft, spreadable consistency for serving with crackers and melba toast squares.
In addition to the olives, artichokes and cream cheese, this spread features the lovely, bright flavors of fresh parsley, lemon juice and lemon zest. It’s always a fresh party favorite that my guests love!
Though the recipe calls for pimento-stuffed green olives, you can use any kind of pitted olive you like – whichever is your favorite. If you have the time, check out the olive bar at your local gourmet grocery – there are so many varieties to choose from!
I love how this spread looks in a temp-tations EZ Hold with a sprig of parsley and a slice of lemon as garnish.
